Teaching activities are carried out for courses on building materials and their durability for courses in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture.
Students in classroom MA1 of the Department, can follow on on-screen activities carried out in the laboratory and interact with the technicians who perform the tests. For example, practical exercises are carried out to analyze:
– casting of ordinary and self-compacting concrete and the measurement of the workability of the fresh concrete,
– mechanical testing of concrete specimens,
– non-destructive tests on reinforced concrete structures,
– additional protection and restoration techniques.
In collaboration with other laboratories of the Department, also microstructure analysis can be perfomed.
